Not only is she a gorgeous model, but her soulful cheery voice brings a new meaning to the word talent. My science teacher enjoys blasting techno music with strong beats so you can imagine my surprise when I heard “Shark in the Water” playing. I heard a voice similar to artists like Adele and Duffy. My interested was immediately piqued by the deep-intoned vibrancy within her voice. Later that night I went home and searched her music. I expected her to be an unheard of artist with a one-hit wonder, but I was thankfully mistaken. Among other songs “Everybody” really resonates with me. It starts off slow with a slight monotone but builds into a catchy and melodic chorus. The lyrics are the best part, simple but true to the heart. I cannot help but smile while this song is playing.
